Burrata Salad

The other week, I had the best burrata salad in between shows at Seven Bistro in New York.  Perhaps it tasted that good because I was run down and absolutely starving or it may have been due to the fact that I was hanging out with my two very close girlfriends and doesn’t food and wine taste better with your favorite people?  Whatever the reason, I knew I had to attempt a similar version at home and so this past Sunday evening while watching the Oscars Red Carpet coverage seemed like the perfect excuse.   While my husband cooked dinner, I whipped up this simple and easy salad  (minus the shallots) from Sprouted Kitchen in no time.  We both agreed the best part was the grilled bread…I mean, cheese and bread…is there a better combo??  I must admit, we pretty much devoured this entire plate and ended up only picking at our dinner…but that doesn’t mean I didn’t leave room for dessert.
