Classic Arnold Palmer

Now that the weather has finally warmed up, it’s time for iced tea, lemonade, and naturally, Rose.  While I normally save the latter for the weekend, it’s refreshing to serve an alternative to my regular sparkling water with weeknight dinners.  So, I decided to combine my two favorite summer drinks and create a classic Arnold Palmer.  Making homemade lemonade is a lot easier than you may think and tastes way better than the store bought version.  And iced tea simply requires boiling a pot of water and adding about five tea bags…I like Early Grey (let them seep for approximately 10 minutes).  After I made both, I let them cool separately in the refrigerator, filled a pitcher with equal amounts of each and garnished with lemon slices.  I served these Arnold Palmers with chips and salsa the other afternoon when the kids got home from school and they were absolutely delighted!  I would highly recommend making these for your next brunch or barbecue.  You can even make this spiked version which I’m sure would be a big hit!
