Happy Monday everyone! I hope your weekend was relaxing.  We had a fun-filled weekend which included a school function Friday night, baseball games on Saturday, and a day trip to the north shore plus an evening at the beach on Sunday.  Of course, the weekend wouldn’t be complete without watching the Emmy’s so naturally, I tuned in last night.  My favorite looks of the evening were Reese Witherspoon, Thandie Newton, Michelle Pfeiffer and Emmy Rossum.  Who’s look did you like the best?

This September weather has me rethinking my favorite month.  I’d normally say it’s June but this beautiful weather (the mid seventies with no humidity) is compelling me to reconsider.  Plus, I’m loving the gradual transition my wardrobe is taking.  I’m swapping out sandals for flats and booties and tanks and tees for button-downs and three-quarter sleeve tops.  Speaking of button downs, I scooped up this classic white button-down at Target for only $23!  It’s the perfect style and fit.  It can be worn either dressed down with jeans and boots or dressed up with a timeless pencil skirt or a chic pair of trousers.  I also love button downs as easy swim cover-ups.  The possibilities are endless!

One last thing: If you don’t own this reversible tote, run to Nordstrom right now!!  This is my go-to bag for every day.  I receive so many compliments on it.  My favorite combo is the cognac and black because it goes with everything.  For under $50, it’s a total no-brainer.
