I want to apologize for my absence this week.  It’s been a juggling act getting my kids acclimated to a new school while simultaneously trekking in and out of the city for fashion week!  While I love all the excitement, I’m relieved that things are finally slowing down a bit to give us an opportunity to come up for air and establish a new routine.  Having said that, I must admit that I will definitely miss getting dressed up everyday as opposed to my mom uniform of jeans, tees, and my favorite slip on sneakers.  My favorite look from fashion week was undoubtedly this Who What Wear eyelet drawstring dress I scored at Target for $10!!!!  Yes, you can say it…Target does it again!  I’m not sure why I found mine on the clearance rack whereas the online version is still full price.  However, even at full price, this dress is such a steal.  I love the feminine details, the breathable fabric, and the flattering shape.  And…it also comes in white. I’m seriously debating whether I should run over to Target and scoop it up for next summer!  I wore this look (minus the shoes) to the Katie Gallagher presentation on Friday night.  I was all set to wear these heels but opted instead for these Aerin sandals because it was soooo hot that day and I just wanted to be cool and comfortable.   Oh, and in case you’re wondering why I didn’t shoot these photos on the streets of New York, it’s because I feel really awkward doing that!  That and I’m afraid I’ll get run over by a cab.  We snapped a different set of pics on Sunday afternoon but the street was virtually empty except for a limo driver who was looking at us like we were nuts….#bloggerlife.
