Favorite Summer Tomato Recipes
{Heirloom Tomatoes With Blue Cheese Dressing}
We have a plethora of tomatoes due to my one plant in our backyard and a very generous family member who has an impressive vegetable and herb garden just a few blocks away. Seriously, I cannot remember the last time I bought tomatoes at the market! My four year old son loves eating them straight off the vine (he would eat an entire bowl if I allowed him) but I prefer to mix it up so I enjoy infusing tomatoes into salads, appetizers, pizzas and galettes whenever I can. Here’s a look at some of my favorite summer tomato recipes (and yes, there is a definite difference between summer tomatoes and those pale, sad versions we’re all forced to buy at the store once the temps take a major dip!).

You are one lucky lady to have an over abundance of home grown tomatoes. I, unfortunately, live in the city with nary a patch of grass is sight. . .so I have no choice but to purchase my tomatoes from the store (which are not as tasty).
BTW. . .I can’t get my mind off of that heirloom tomato salad with blue cheese dressing and I am always in the mood for a good galette.
