Now that the weather is continuing to gradually warm up (fingers crossed), I’m so excited to finally be able to venture outdoors to get some much needed fresh air and exercise. I will always favor putting my toddler in the jogger and going for a long power walk either around the neighborhood or down at the boardwalk over the gym any day. Luckily for me, my son still enjoys a spin in the stroller as long as he has some snacks, a drink and something interesting to look at. I truly cherish this one on one time with him because sooner than later, he’ll be in school full time and these days will be over before I know it. April is usually the month I start to exercise outside again but the mornings are still pretty chilly so layers are key, especially down by the water where the temperatures are slightly cooler and the conditions are normally windy. This soft sweatshirt is the ideal layering piece to throw on over a fitted tank as well as this hat to protect my face from the sun and to keep my hair from blowing around everywhere. Speaking of sun protection, I absolutely love Super Goop! If you haven’t tried it, you’re truly missing out. It’s not chalky or sticky like a lot of sunscreens nor does it contain any harmful ingredients (a major bonus) plus it’s great for sensitive skin. Of course, I never leave my house without lip balm or sunglasses so these are a must for every occasion. And, last but certainly not least, hydration is essential so a glass bottle (the water just tastes better) with a silicone sleeve is the perfect solution. What are your fitness essentials?
