The other day, we packed a picnic lunch and headed over to The Planting Fields Arboretum to enjoy the beautifully manicured gardens and the endless amount of green space. After devouring our sandwiches and cookies, the boys kicked off their Crocs and ran free down the hills on the vast back lawn, chasing after butterflies, chipmunks and naturally, each other. It’s a miracle I was able to squeeze in picture taking in between hunting down my incredibly fast three year old! I was a bit rumpled and definitely out of breath as I attempted to pull myself together for these shots. Despite my slight frustration and mini heart attack as Patrick decided to dangerously climb the wall adjacent to the main fountain, I have to say this is still one of my favorite spots on Long Island. Although I would have preferred to wear a lovely sundress to accent this exquisite location, I knew I had to remain on the practical side of things and so instead, I chose my go-to chino shorts and this very breathable, soft tee. If you’re not familiar with Three Dots, they are known for their simple, well constructed pieces that are extremely comfortable and always the perfect fit. Their items truly stand the test of time…they wash exceptionally well and their timeless designs can segue effortlessly from year to year. Needless to say, they are on perpetual rotation, particularly for park days spent running after my spirited boys!
