Hello Spring!

Blouse (comes in black and pink too)// Jeans (only $50 and currently 30% off)// Leopard Flats, old (similar)// Bag (save version here)// Sunglasses (save version here)

Hearing the weatherman declare that today is the first day of spring was music to my ears this morning.  It may not feel entirely like spring but the longer days, the budding trees, and the milder temps are definitely lifting my spirits.  As you might have guessed, I did not shoot these photos recently.  These were taken back in the fall right before I took a very extended hiatus from the blog (more on that later).  However, I think this simple, easy and polished look is perfect for spring.  I love the fact that I can wear flats again (goodbye boots), a flattering ankle jean (this pair is such a steal) and how cute is this top?  The deep v-neck and flared sleeves are a fun twist on a classic white blouse.  And if you’re on the hunt for a versatile and chic everyday bag, I’d highly recommend this one.  It’s a bit pricey but well worth the investment if you are able to splurge.  If not, I also love these budget friendly options (here and here).

Moving on, I have to say, I’m so excited to return to my little corner of the internet!  I took a step back for a few months because I was completely overwhelmed.  My husband was promoted at work and that translated to longer hours and working on the weekends so I’ve been wearing my mom hat full time and then some!  While my most important role in life is to be present for my kids, I do believe that a healthy balance is necessary.  When I’m feeling fulfilled, that translates to the kind of person I am to the people around me so all you stay at home moms out there, remember to take time for yourself whatever that may be!

On another note, I will be co-hosting a spring shopping event with Maison du Chocolat at the Ann Taylor in Rockefeller Center next Thursday, March 28th from 5-7 pm!  There will be luxury chocolates to sample, a fun raffle, a gift with purchase and a plethora of spring styles to choose from.  You can register for the event right here.  I hope to see you there!
