Over the Knee Boots

The other week, I was in Lord & Taylor picking up a basic pair of black pointed toe pumps when I spotted these over the knee boots from across the shoe department.  My mom claims that I was mid-sentence when I decided to impulsively trot over to these beauties.  But, seriously, who could blame me?  They looked so regal prominently placed on a pedestal, begging to be tried on at the very least.  Of course, my three year old decided that was the moment he was on the brink of a very public meltdown, so we were compelled to make a speedy exit.  Naturally, I couldn’t get them out of my mind so I did the next best thing…I scored a pair at a fraction of the cost at Target!  Did I mention it was free shipping?  And that I also scooped up these cozy snow boots as well?  It got me thinking…what was life like before Tar-jay???
