Lake Winnipesaukee
A few weeks ago, we headed up to what’s known as the Lakes Region in Meredith, New Hampshire. My daughter goes to a sleep away camp on Lake Winnipesaukee and so traditionally, we end up staying in the area for a few days every August. There’s something so relaxing and therapeutic about taking in the scenic landscape, breathing in the fresh New Hampshire air, and window shopping in this quaint and low key town. I highly recommend staying at Mills Falls for their incredible views and proximity to the lake and you cannot even think about leaving Meredith without trying one of these cupcakes. I sampled the Orange Creamsicle version and I’m still dreaming about it! As you can see, I layered up that weekend. New Hampshire mornings and evenings can be pretty chilly while the afternoons can become considerably warm. So, my solution was this lightweight tee, my comfy Gap jeans, a cotton sweater and my reliable Ugg skimmers. I can only imagine how beautiful this area looks during the holidays dotted with festive lights and a fresh blanket of snow on the ground. Of course, you’d need your heaviest parka because Winter is no joke up in this neck of the woods!

The lake looks so serene and perfect. Going to camp up there must be lovely. And an orange creamsicle cupcake sounds amazing!
