The perfect staple for fall and winter is definitely a long cashmere cardigan.  I love the combination of style and function, something that can be paired up or down while always remaining effortlessly chic.  So, when my trusty waterfall cardigan (last seen here and here) ripped at the elbow, I was quite distraught.  I temporarily thought about elbow patches but in the end, I knew it had run its’ course.  Months later, when I spotted this longer version, I hemmed and hawed and eventually left the store without purchasing it.  But, did you ever think about an item so much you couldn’t sleep?  Well, that’s what happened after I realized what a good deal I was about to pass up.  Needless to say, I returned to the store to find this long cashmere sweater still hanging there waiting for me to take it home! I am confident in saying that this was my best purchase for the colder months…neutral, versatile, and polished.  It just doesn’t get better than that.  Oh, and did I mention I scored it for $60?  Hurry on over to Marshall’s or if you can’t find something similar there, I’ve listed a few more affordable alternatives.
