Modern Farmhouse

Modern Farmhouse
One of my favorite ways to unwind after the kiddos go to bed is to curl up on the couch with a cup of tea (or wine, depending on what kind of day I’ve had) and catch up on HGTV.  There really isn’t a show I won’t watch although lately, I find myself excited for Thursday nights.  My recent obsession is Fixer Upper, a program that follows a charming couple from Texas, Chip and Joanna Gaines of Magnolia Homes, as they help their clients find the right home by helping them see past the imperfections and envisioning what that space could look like with some creativity and a little elbow grease.  What I love about their style is that it’s a blend of rustic and modern with simple, clean lines, lots of natural light, and an effortless, lived in vibe that is so appealing.  Often times, they feature their own house, named Magnolia Farm, where they live with their four adorable children.  Their bright and open kitchen is my ideal living area so as I dream about my future farmhouse (if I can ever get my husband to leave New York), here is a compilation of things I would include.
