Natural Beauty Finds
Boscia BB Cream// Maracuja Oil// Tarte Bronzer// Acure Shampoo (and Conditioner, not shown)// RMS Luminizer// Tarte Mascara// Super Goop Self-Tanner
I am constantly on the hunt for safe and effective beauty products so when I find a gem, I always want to spread the word. Recently, I’ve been loving these products not only because they actually work, but more importantly, because they are free of harmful ingredients. Just a little fyi: the United States has not passed a federal law to regulate personal care products since 1938. That’s pretty scary if you ask me. So, be sure to hop on over to the EWG website to rate your favorite products (you may be surprised at what you discover…I definitely was). My daily beauty routine is simple and quick because my four year old son is not very patient! So, after a hasty shower using Honest body wash and this Acure shampoo and conditioner, I slather on this Super Goop self-tanner/moisturizer. Then, I splash my face with water, use apple cider vinegar as a toner (it really helps to reduce redness), use a few drops of maracuja oil on my face, then this Boscia BB Cream (it’s seriously amazing), brush a little Tarte bronzer on my cheeks and forehead, apply this Tarte mascara and for a finishing touch, I use this RMS living luminizer on the bridge of my nose and on my brow bone for a luminous sheen. If I’m going out, I also use it on my collarbones and shoulders for a little extra shimmer. Are you passionate about natural beauty products? If so, I’m always welcoming new suggestions. I ‘m currently looking for a lip gloss to replace this one (which makes me sad because I love it so much). Any ideas?

I had no idea that the laws around this were so old! That is kind of scary. I’m a little nervous to see how some of my favorite products rate… I love argan oil as a moisturizer, and will have try the apple cider vinegar as a toner. I hope you are having a great weekend!!

I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner 3 seasons a year for about 1.5 years now. I don’t use it in the winter because it’s not quite moisturizing enough but I love it. I also love the Tarte Mascara!

I’m dying to try bb or cc cream, but I’m not going to buy a full sized one to do it. I can’t go to stores to test em and to get free samples online you need order something. My mainworry is if the light shades are really pale enough for my skin. Do you think the shade you use closely resembles your foundation color, or are the bb creams really one shade (category) fits all? Any advice at all would be so greatly appreciated, this has been driving me nuts, lol.

Yes, this BB cream is one universal shade so it really does suit everyone. I find that it blends with my skin very well. I hope that’s helpful!

Love EWG! Happy to know about the Goop sunless tanner. Goodness knows I need it:) Also intrigued about ACV as toner. I’ve used as a conditioning rinse but never toner. However, it makes perfect sense. Trying this tomorrow morning. Thanks Merritt!

No worries Heidi! I’m sure I’ve done that once or twice myself! And yes, using apple cider vinegar as a toner works wonders! Definitely a must try!

I love tarte products – they really are some of the best and long lasting ones out there! It’s a little scary how many bad products are in our makeup but the US hasn’t done anything about it…xo, Biana – BlovedBoston
