Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
There’s chocolate chip cookies and then there’s chocolate chip cookies. Do you know what I’m talking about? When I’m craving a chocolate chip cookie, I’m thinking about the kind that are warm and gooey…the straight out of the oven, melt in your mouth, dunk them in your frosty glass of milk variety. My go-to, fool proof recipe for a classic one is this version (trust me…they are insanely good) but sometimes, I’m looking for a little more texture. So, the other day, when I found myself with bare cupboards (four children eat a lot), I decided to bake a batch of these oatmeal chocolate chip cookies to surprise them when they got off the bus. Naturally, they were delighted and the house smelled divine….and I very wisely stashed away two for myself to enjoy with a cup of tea and The Real Housewives (no judgement please) once they went off to sleep.

These looks so so good! I make a very similar recipe for my four wee ones, and they love them also, you really cannot go wrong with oatmeal and chocolate chip in my opinion.
