Happy Monday!  I hope your week is off to a great start!  If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram (@taffetatulips), then you know that I spent the majority of the weekend in the city.  I had one of the best weekends splitting time with my college roomie and taking my daughter to her first fashion show.  Friday night, I met up with my friend and we headed downtown to the Katie Gallagher presentation and then over to The Fat Radish for dinner and drinks.  I was supposed to go to a show on Saturday morning but instead I opted to go to brunch at Cibo E Vino and then return to Long Island earlier than planned to spend some time with the fam.  Sunday, I returned to the city with my daughter for the CAAFD fashion show which features up and coming designers.  There were three different designers but I was especially loving the last collection which was Laison by Aurelia Santoso.  Check out her Spring/Summer collection on my insta story and snaps.  Afterwards, we headed over to Pastai for lunch and Billy’s Bakery for cupcakes.  The weather was absolutely perfect yesterday!  It cooled down considerably from the other day and there was a slight breeze which made wearing this silk blouse and skinny cargos the ideal early fall option.  If you haven’t invested in a classic silk blouse yet, do yourself a favor and order one asap!  I wear this blouse all the time!  It goes with everything and I always feel polished and chic whichever way I style it.  And can we talk about these wedge booties?  I scooped these up on major sale the other week and they have ended up being the best shoes for fashion week!  I love the fact that they give me a little height while still managing to be functional for all the city walking.  If I could give you one piece of advice about fashion week it would be to wear comfortable shoes!  I’m heading back into the city today to check out the Louis Verdad presentation so be sure to follow along!
