Today, I’d like to introduce you to the lovely Sarah Tucker!  I was beyond thrilled when Sarah agreed to participate in my new series, Spotlight.  I am a huge fan of Sarah and her blog because she is as authentic as it gets.  Sarah’s positive outlook, her strong faith, and her unique and keen sense of style are just a few reasons why she’s such an inspiration.  Sarah is passionate about living a healthy life and I really value all her tips and suggestions from natural beauty products to wholesome snacks and everything in between.  Plus, she is a mommy blogger like me so I can so relate to her humorous stories about her sweet baby boy, Tuck, and her new baby boy who is on the way (Sarah recently wrote him a love letter that brought me to tears…be warned…tissues are a must!)  So, without further adieu, let’s get to know Sarah better and be sure to follow her on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

1. What was the inspiration behind your blog?

JB and I had a pretty exciting start to our marriage.  We got married and a month later moved to Switzerland together.  I loved sharing our day to day abroad and also our many fun adventures around europe as newlyweds.  But when I think of the inspiration behind my blog it has quite a bit to do with how strongly I feel about healthy marriages and relationships.   It’s really quite a bit of a love letter to my husband, our families, and my close friends.  If my blog has a heartbeat, those are the things that make it tick.  Of course I do love sharing my latest finds, health tips, and fashion too (:

2. Take us through a typical day…

I actually just hung up my wedding planner/designer apron.  I’m now a full time stay at home momma and couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity.  Days are all different but usually involve sharing the day with family, running errands, cooking, and the fun stuff mixed in – trips to the library, beachin’ it, music class, soccer class.

3. How has being a mom changed you?

I think the biggest thing is just having a living breathing little person who is your heart walking around.  It’s such a responsibility, it’s humbling and it’s the most precious gift I’ve been given.  I am so thankful I get to be a mother.  I see life through his eyes – and it really makes all of the colors come alive.

4. Describe your personal style in three words?

relaxed, classic, {a little} eclectic

5. I love your approach to living a healthy lifestyle…what are the three best natural beauty products you would recommend?

Maracuja oil – this little miracle oil helps with everything from acne to premature aging.  No need to worry about parabens, SLS, etc… it’s 100% oil.  One of Gods beauty products (:

I love this tarte CC undereye corrector – I have really dark under eye circles, and this is a tried and true concealer for that pesky dark part of my face.

unrefined coconut oil – I know people say this all the time but I love slathering it on for … pretty much everything.  My husband makes fun of me because I think it’s a cure-all.  It so is (: !!

6. What is your favorite easy, quick and nutritious weekday dinner?

I’m always looking for ideas!   I’m a big fan of roasting a big whole chicken with rice and every veggie known to man around it.  That’s comfort food for me.  And easy!  I also love this salad – I make it pretty much every time I see good lookin’ figs at the farm stand.  + will top with grilled chicken if I need to make it a complete meal.

7. Where is the coolest place you’ve traveled?  Where would you like to go next?

Tie between Croatia and Russia.  Both were so beautiful in their own way and so fairytale-ish.  Our trip to Thailand was canceled this year due to some violent political uprisings that were happening right around the time we were supposed to go.  Next time we have a chance to go there, I am totally up for that trip!

 8. Florida has so many beautiful locations…as a Floridian, where would you recommend for a romantic weekend get away and where would you recommend for a family vacation?

Florida is always surprising me.  It has so much to it.  Different corners feel completely different.  For a romantic weekend you can’t go wrong with St. Augustine.  Especially during the nights of lights during the holidays.  For a family getaway the Ocean Reef Club down in Key Largo is perfect!

9. What has been most rewarding about being a blogger?

There have been lots of fun opportunities but I think the friendships I’ve made through blogging has been the biggest reward.

10. What is your advice to aspiring bloggers?

Write about what you love.  It’ll show and people will be drawn to that.
