Spring Tablescape

I haven’t hosted Easter dinner for quite a few years so I was thrilled to have my family over yesterday to celebrate my favorite holiday.  One of the things I love most about entertaining is creating a beautiful and inviting tablescape so this is always something I put a lot of thought and energy into.  I prefer to keep things simple and elegant so I opted for a crisp, white tablecloth, green napkins (which are appropriate for spring), and small, low arrangements of pink and white tulips.  We feasted on arugula salad with parmesan, ham with a delicious tangerine and sage glaze, broccoli florets with lemon olive oil, baby red potatoes with dill and a decadent chocolate walnut cake.  Needless to say, it was a very satisfying meal spent with the people I love the most.  I couldn’t have asked for a better day.
