Summer Sweater

Until recently, I didn’t realize that I had overlooked the need for a few functional and stylish summer sweaters.  I had been solely relying upon my trusty cashmere waterfall cardigan.  And while I still get a ton of use out of it, it can be a tad heavy for balmy summer evenings where all I really need is a light layer.  I scooped up this striped v-neck a few weeks ago but I was still searching for something in a neutral tone so when I spotted this open knit beach sweater at J.Crew Factory, I knew I had found the one.  It’s perfect for an evening stroll at the beach, as an extra layer in an air conditioned restaurant, or for my sons’ baseball games once the sun has gone down.  I mainly pair it with shorts but I’m also thinking it will look so easy and chic with white jeans and my favorite Jack Rogers sandals.
