As much as I love a pretty sundress and wedges for a summer date night look, my ultimate go-to look will forever be a tee and jeans. Throw in a blazer and a comfy pair of flats (or in this case, these quilted slip ons) and I’m good to go! I always feel my best in this easy and effortless laid back look because it’s just so me. I’m all about the basics…they’re the foundation for any ensemble which you can then tweak according to your personal style. I cannot tell you how happy I am that summer is finally here! The days are long, the temps are perfect, the flowers are blooming, and school is almost out! I’m looking forward to long, lazy beach days, evening baseball games (I have two boys on travel baseball teams so I need to brace myself), Fourth of July in Fire Island and our family vacation down in Hilton Head…#ilovesummer. Anyone with me?

Yay for basics! I totally agree with you. Denim (shorts or jeans) and a tee is definitely one of my go-to combos too. I love the sophisticated ease of this look, Kate. And the shorts look amazing on you!
