I don’t know about you but I’d like to apply the brakes when it comes to Fall.  I’m not a big fan of chilly weather, football (just ask my husband), or pumpkin lattes.  I’d rather roast at the beach any day of the week…as long as I have a cold margarita in my hand and a tube of sunscreen.  But as much as I’d like to avoid Autumn’s imminent arrival, I cannot avoid the inevitable.  Pretty soon, I’ll find myself baking apple muffins, enduring the Jets every Sunday (ugh), and tackling the daunting task of swapping out my summer wardrobe for boots, sweaters and scarves.  September is that transitional month here in New York where the mornings and evenings are cool while the afternoons are still warm.  So, dressing in layers is a must.  This boyfriend blazer is the perfect piece…it’s incredibly versatile and can easily segue from season to season.  The same can be said for this denim pencil skirt.  I love how it can be paired down with flats for the day and just as easily can be dressed up with a heel for evening.  I’ve been on the hunt for a classic red tote for quite some time now.  Isn’t this Dolce and Gabbana version divine?  (I also love this save option as well!)  You can never go wrong with a chic pair of cat eye sunglasses or a timeless cashmere sweater so these are the ideal staples.  And lastly, while I love my go-to summer fragrance, it’s time to switch it up with this elegant and sophisticated alternative by Aerin Lauder.
