How to Wear the Off the Shoulder Trend

I know, I know…the off the shoulder trend is nothing new at this point.  This style is everywhere these days from tops to dresses to sweaters, even swim suits.  So, you may be wondering why I’m choosing now to talk about how to wear this season’s latest trend.  It’s because I have yet to invest in any of these pieces for fear of looking completely ridiculous.  As a mom of four who lives in the ‘burbs and spends the majority of her time shuttling kids from the pool to camp and to baseball games, I think I might get a few quizzical looks if I showed up rocking a cropped off the shoulder top and short shorts (which, by the way, is such a cute look but definitely more suitable for a model in her twenties).  So, of course I turned to Pinterest for some much needed inspo and was pleasantly surprised to find that even a mom over 40 can embrace this trend in a number of ways while remaining age appropriate and stylish.  Here are my favorite ways to wear the off the shoulder trend (fyi…I’m obsessed with this off the shoulder sweater for fall) plus there’s a Target giveaway that you definitely don’t want to miss out on so be sure to check it out below!
