Challah French Toast
Last week, we experienced our first snowstorm of the season here in New York so naturally, I felt the need to whip up one of my favorite comfort foods, challah french toast. The combination of cinnamon, nutmeg and this rich and thick challah bread was insanely delicious and surprisingly easy to make. Of course, the best way to enjoy this decadent breakfast was in my coziest pj’s accompanied by a steaming cup of coffee and a stack of unread magazines (correction… that was my intention but truth be told, I was compelled to wolf it down in a millisecond and then embark upon the arduous task of bundling my boys up for a jaunt outdoors). That’s okay, though, because I froze the rest and reheated it the remainder of the week for a quick, fuss free meal. Served with warm maple syrup and powdered sugar, this dish was a definite winner.

There is nothing better than challah French toast! That is my go-to brunch. You should try it with some mascarpone — I promise, it won’t dissapoint!
