Low Fat Cranberry Orange Muffins
Now that the days are much shorter and the temps are increasingly cooler, I find myself craving lots of carbs and comfort food. I am a self proclaimed sugar addict so often times, I have to seek out healthier versions of my favorite treats…you know what they say, ” A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips.” I’ve never met a muffin I didn’t like so I’m constantly tweaking different recipes to reduce the fat and calories. Today, I’m sharing my go-to recipe for low fat orange cranberry muffins which are ideal for this time of year. I follow these steps but I swap out the sour cream for low fat plain yogurt and I use whole wheat flour as well as two tablespoons of ground flax seed. Besides the fact that the kitchen smells heavenly, these are light, tasty and guilt free…#winning.

Sugar/carbs are more of a problem for your figure than fat if the fat is a good type of fat. I may try a version with full fat but a more slow releasing carb flour and see what I get! Oh! Try to adapt this for scones! It’s perfect flavors for scones!

These sound and look so delicious. I think I made something similar last year in bread form but a lot less healthy. I will 100% be making these instead this year.
