Fur…eezing

The weather here in New York has been unrelenting.  The temperatures have loomed in the twenties and we have had approximately five or six snow falls.  Yes, I’m counting because the kids have had four snow days so far and as I write this, the snow is coming down outside my window yet again.  As much as I complain about the frigid conditions and endless snow days complete with shoveling and bundling up four kids to head outside, there is something truly magical about the snow covering the streets with a fresh white blanket.  Everything seems to slow down and there is a sense of peace and calmness even if just for a short while.  So, instead of grumbling about icy sidewalks and slush on my boots, I decided to resurrect this old bracelet sleeve coat, throw on my favorite faux fur scarf and head down to the beach to catch another spectacular winter sunset.
