Hi Taffeta + Tulips readers! I am so excited to be collaborating with Kate! I first met Kate when I started blogging, like literally the first week I started blogging. Kate was one of my first supporters and #bloggerfriends, and thanks to her, I had the courage to continue on my blogging journey. Kate’s style is effortlessly chic and classic. Not only is her style timeless, but her writing is thoughtful and beautiful and I love reading her blog every day. My date night look incorporates many of my favorite things: fun shoes, a dressed up graphic tee, and a sassy hair style. Dressing up for a date night is always exciting because it means I get to spend uninterrupted time with my husband and usually eat a delicious meal. A white blazer is the perfect layering piece for any season, and I especially love it over my new graphic ‘Paris’ tee. This fun and flirty skirt also adds a bit of fun to my look with the drop waist.

Today, I am so excited to team up with the perpetually chic Maggie of Polished Closets! Not only is Maggie one of the sweetest people I know, she also has a keen eye for detail and an impeccable sense of style. (I mean, have you seen her handbag collection??) We chose to focus on a summer staple, the timeless and versatile white blazer. The possibilities are endless with this clean and crisp classic piece. Although a white blazer is the perfect look for day, we decided to portray two different “date night” ensembles. I love Maggie’s young, fresh approach with her playful graphic tee, striped clutch and killer Valentino’s! As a mom of four, I opted for a low key style with a loose striped tank, skinny jeans and simple heels. I tend to gravitate toward looks that can effortlessly transition from day to night by tweaking a few accessories here and there. Are you a fan of the white blazer? If so, tell us how would you style yours for a night out on the town?
