City Chic

Over the next week, I’ll be heading into the city several times for NYFW so I’ve been shopping for easy, chic and warm pieces that will get me through the day feeling comfortable and confident.  Since I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect dark wash flared jeans, I was thrilled to score this pair on major sale.  I love the flattering high waist and the not too flared leg.  They’ll pair seamlessly with a classic silk button down or a cozy turtleneck sweater and they’re the ideal length to be worn with my favorite black wedge booties (which are both stylish and functional).  Of course, a polished looking coat is key and this timeless version from Karen Millen is such an elegant option…don’t you love the cinched waist and the faux fur collar?  I recently scooped up a similar pea coat version at Nordstrom for a fraction of the price.  It’s since sold out but here’s another save option (on sale) that I’m also coveting.  Finally, a structured and roomy statement bag is an absolute must and since my love of all things leopard is never ending, I’d highly recommend this calf hair version by DVF which is currently 50% off.
