Jackie O

To me, the epitome of classic and effortless summer chic is this image of Jackie O in a fitted black crew tee shirt and crisp white pants with her signature over sized sunglasses.  There is nothing more timeless and universally flattering than a simple black and white ensemble paired with Jack Rogers sandals, a straw tote and a colorful silk scarf.  What I love about this style is that it can easily segue from day to night with a quick swap of accessories, a little make-up and a spritz of your favorite scent.  Of course, everything looks better with a tan so when you need that ideal faux glow, St. Tropez is the one to turn to.  I’m not quite sure what Jackie’s preference was for nail color but I’d venture to say that it was understated and elegant.  So, a nude polish is always fool proof and perpetually sophisticated.  Whether you’re vacationing in Greece a la Jackie or staying local (like me…sigh), this look will never steer you wrong.
