My Favorite Honest Beauty Products

I’m all about transparency when it comes to beauty products. I want to know exactly what I’m slathering on my skin because unbeknownst to a lot of consumers, what we put on our bodies is just as important as what we put in them. So, I’m perpetually on the hunt for the latest and greatest products that won’t break the bank. That’s why I love Honest Beauty. Their collection of self care and beauty products are safe, effective and affordable… plus the packaging is pretty which is an added bonus!

Today, I’m rounding up my current favorite Honest Beauty products but of course, I’m always open to testing out new ones so this list isn’t final. Here’s a look at what I’ve been using lately:

3 -in -1 Detox Mud Mask: I use this mask once or twice a week before bed to minimize the appearance of pores and clear up any problem areas. I love that this mask isn’t cakey at all. It goes on smoothly (I use a thin layer) and washes off easily with warm water and a washcloth. I follow up with facial oil and my skin immediately feels refreshed and soft. A helpful tip: use this mask a few days before any kind of event because it does bring blemishes up to the surface so your skin needs a day or two to settle down afterwards.

Magic Gel to Milk Cleanser: I recently switched over to this facial cleanser because as the weather gets colder, my skin tends to become dry. This cleanser can be used either lathered with water or applied directly onto the skin and then washed off. I prefer the latter way because I find that my skin needs that extra dose of moisturization. I love the subtle rose scent too! If you’re looking for an alternative, this gentle gel cleanser is ideal for normal skin.

Organic Beauty Facial Oil: I’m a huge proponent of facial oils especially now that I’m in my forties. I think they’re the most effective tool for replenishing and maintaining the skin’s elasticity which in turn, gives off a more dewy, youthful complexion. I’ve experimented with many different ones but this particular version from Honest is my favorite because it works, it smells great and it’s super affordable. I use 2 to 3 drops and massage onto my face both morning and night.

Get it Together Eye Shadow Palette: I’m usually not too experimental when it comes to applying eye make-up. I keep my look pretty simple and streamlined…a touch of mascara and a neutral eye shadow. But when I spotted this eye palette that consisted of ten shades and a card inside that instructs you step by step how to achieve certain looks, I was intrigued. Whether you’re looking to create an easy, everyday minimal eye or a shimmery, satiny eye for evening, this palette has you covered.

Lavender Body Lotion: This body lotion is perfect for everyday. I use it as soon as I get out of the shower and keep it on my bathroom vanity as a hand moisturizer throughout the day. Anyone else get dry winter hands? I constantly need to reapply especially after washing my hands. I also rub some on my elbows and ankles right before bed. This lotion also comes in an almond scent as well as sweet orange vanilla.

Mascara and Primer: This mascara is hands down my absolute favorite. I never realized how important using clean ingredients around my eyes was until a friend pointed it out to me. I mean, hello! Your eyelashes are right there next to your eyeballs! Why would you want anything toxic in or near your eyes? Makes sense, right? Besides the fact that this mascara is free of harmful chemicals, it also goes on so smoothly especially after prepping the lashes with the attached primer. I buy this mascara on repeat every three months.

Everyday Gentle Conditioner: This conditioner is so moisturizing, it’s pretty much the only conditioner I use (unless I’m using my purple shampoo/conditioner combo once a week to reduce brassiness). Other than that, this conditioner, which is a total steal for only $10, is my go-to. It comes in two other scents but I love the sweet orange vanilla one the best. I also get the shampoo/body wash for my youngest son because it makes showering a 2 in 1 step process so he’s in and out of the shower in no time.

Invisible Blurring Loose Powder: I use this translucent powder to set my BB Cream (lately, I’ve been using this one) and concealer. You only need a small amount because a little goes a long way. Just lightly dust over your face after applying foundation or tinted moisturizer to set your make-up and then follow up with bronzer and highlighter for a subtle glow.
