While I love the occasional pop of color here and there, I’m generally a person who sticks to neutrals the majority of the time.  I think this is partly due to my reserved nature but also attributed to the fact that I’m a mom of four young children and I simply don’t have the time to stand in front of my closet scratching my head in bewilderment.  I prefer to shop methodically, carefully pondering my daily routine, so that way once I arrive home and store my purchases in my closet, all I have to do is pull them and put them on.  There’s no over thinking an outfit while the kids are squabbling over the remote.  One designer that I look to for simple, well constructed pieces is Kayce Hughes.  Kayce is a mom of seven children herself so if anyone understands a need to keep things fuss free it’s her!  Kayce’s collections are perpetually versatile and effortless with a touch of modern vintage.  One item in particular that I love to stock up on are her three quarter sleeve tunics.  They’re made of the softest cotton and they’re so easy to pair with just about anything.  I have them in five different colors but my favorite is this one in light pink.  It’s the perfect shade, couples well with crisp white jeans or shorts and always compliments a golden glow.  This past week, I was dying to try out my new wedge espadrilles so I thought this ensemble would be the ideal match.  I can already picture this outfit as my husband and I enjoy a leisurely dinner by the water.  I hope he’s reading… after all, Mother’s Day is quickly approaching!!
