I scooped up this linen tank a few weeks back when I was on the hunt for a basic piece that would pair effortlessly with just about anything.  Ever since, I’ve been wearing it pretty much non-stop.  It goes perfectly with denim, slim black pants or any one of my many chino shorts.  I wore it with these navy J.Crew cotton shorts and my favorite red skimmers to the park the other day.  It was the ideal ensemble for an impromptu picnic followed by a spirited game of hide ‘n seek….my three year old didn’t quite understand the concept of hiding.  Apparently, he prefers the thrill of the chase!  Now that Labor Day weekend is around the corner, I’m thinking of resurrecting this look for an afternoon barbecue spent consuming copious amounts of hot dogs, baked beans and corn on the cob….and let’s not forget a generous slice of apple pie.
