Well, hello there my friends! I know it’s been quite some time since I’ve last posted here. If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably know that I’ve been in mom mode full time juggling college tours for my daughter, travel baseball for my three boys, and everything else in between. It’s been an incredibly busy year for our family and truthfully, I’d love to slow down and just be still at times. Time is flying by and I want to savor these precious moments we have as a family. My kids grumble when I insist on taking photos but it’s the only way I can freeze time. I want to remember everything big and small.
There’s something bittersweet about this time of year. I suppose it’s the gradual shift of seasons, the return to school, the start of a new routine….it’s simultaneously melancholy and hopeful. I always have a hard time with the transition from August to September as a mother. I guess it’s a reminder that my kids are getting older as time marches on. Although I don’t love the idea of summer coming to an end, I do enjoy the subtle change in weather this time of year. The mornings and evenings are slightly cooler, the humidity subsides, and the temperature lingers in the mid seventies. I love breaking out my jeans again and throwing on a classic denim jacket.
