While I love soft pastels during the warmer months, there’s something so clean and crisp about a traditional black and white ensemble.  I instantly feel comfortable and confident whenever I wear this classic duo.  Whether it’s a more polished look for evening or a casual outfit for a day at the beach, this simple and straightforward combination always appears pulled together.  The temperatures over the weekend soared up to the mid-eighties (no complaints here) so this loose sleeveless top and these white cotton chino shorts were the perfect choice.  After a busy morning at the baseball field, my husband was tuckered out so I volunteered to take the kids for a pre-dinner stroll down at the boardwalk.  It was an ideal way to pass the time before we returned home to steaks on the grill and fresh corn on the cob.  After a leisurely…who am I kidding….more like a noisy dinner out on the deck, we put the kids to bed and caught up on Season 2 of House of Cards.  The forecast is looking similar for this coming weekend so I’m definitely hoping for a repeat performance.
