Cold and Gray

I have to say it was positively freezing while we were taking these photos.  It was quite a shock to the system because we haven’t had a bitterly cold day in a few weeks.  In fact, the weather was mild enough this past weekend that I was able to trade in my usual puffer coat for this light weight leather jacket.  Here I thought we were beginning the gradual transition of seasons but Mother Nature had alternate plans and decided it would be amusing to blast us with some Arctic air.  Although I was disappointed to have to bear another frigid day, that didn’t stop us from taking a drive down to the beach and witnessing a spectacular winter sunset.  The sky looked as if it were on fire that evening.  But, the best part was spotting the Manhattan skyline off in the distance….well worth frozen fingers and toes if you ask me.
