Currently Coveting for Fall…

I cannot believe it’s this chilly and we are not even half way through September! We went from insufferable heat to rainy and cold conditions within a few days. What ever happened to a sunny 75 degree day with zero humidity?? Naturally, these unusual conditions have compelled me to pull out my favorite slippers, light a candle (currently burning this one), and make a pot of chamomile tea. And, of course, I’ve begun perusing my favorite sites and compiling my fall wish list. Here are a few items that I’ve had my eye on as we transition between seasons.
- Turtleneck Bodysuit: I love a classic black turtleneck especially in the form of a bodysuit. It’s super slimming and flattering. Plus, it goes with absolutely everything. Pair it with jeans and heels for a night out, a skirt and boots for work, or with trousers and flats for a casual look.
- Quay Sunglasses: I own another version of Quay sunglasses and I get asked all the time who makes them! I rarely wear any other sunglasses. But, when I spotted this chic alternative on Instagram, I decided I may just need to invest in a second pair…
- Leather Earrings: Have you guys heard of Nickel and Suede? They make the cutest leather earrings and bracelets. I own a pair in light green (last seen here) and this cuff . I love the dark green shade for fall. It’s the perfect accessory to compliment a neutral top. I also like the fact that you can choose your earring size, small, medium, or large depending on how much of a statement you want to make!
- Leather Bucket Bag: How gorgeous is this bag? So simple and timeless! I love the option of being able to carry it by the metallic handle or as a cross body with the leather strap. It also comes in black leather as well as three colors in suede. This piece is at the top of my wish list for fall.
- High Waisted Jeans: I am always on the hunt for the perfect pair of jeans. So, when I spotted this option and saw the affordable price tag, I knew I would have to give these a try. I’m loving the fit and the wash and they have a bit of stretch so you can wear them from day to night.
- Magnolia Fall Candle: I love all things Chip and Jo Jo so of course I own a number of pieces from Magnolia Market! One of my favorite items are their candles which are made from a soy wax blend and a wood wick (I love the crackle when it burns). I’ve tried the linen scent (heavenly), the holiday ones, and most recently, the summer version (which is on sale). But, I have yet to try the fall candle so that’s next on the list. I definitely want it in time for Halloween because I look forward to curling up on the couch with a glass of wine, my kids’ candy buckets, and a candle burning while watching scary movies after we’ve gone trick or treating.
- Leopard Mules: These calf hair mules are the ideal transition shoe. Did I mention they also come in black annnd that they’re 40% off? They would look great with a white tee and jeans for an everyday look or dressed up with black trousers and this blouse bodysuit for a work look.
