Fringe Factor
While I love all the seventies inspired trends we’ve been seeing the last few seasons, the fringe factor is probably at the top of my list. I think it’s the laid back, carefree vibe it gives off. To me, fringe is worn by that free spirit who defies all the rules, colors outside of the lines and isn’t afraid to take chances. She’s got that effortlessly cool girl thing about her that everyone is drawn to (we all know one of those). I may be a little old to pull off a fringe skirt or a fringe top…even fringe heels would be pushing it. I’d look a little silly at the playground in any of those looks, don’t you think? But, I can embrace the fringe trend in the form of a handbag so I’ve rounded up some of my favorites. Sure, several are aspirational (yes, Lanvin and Saint Laurent…I’m talking about you) but others are quite affordable and actually realistic (currently obsessing over that raffia clutch and the Vince bucket bag). I could definitely see myself getting a ton of mileage out of either of those. Are you feeling the fringe factor? If so, which bags would be on your wish list?

Awesome selection! The first two clutches are right up my street. Also love tote number two and satchel and number 3. Perfection!

I think I prefer the fringe on clutches or in the form of tassels!

I’m kind of on the fence about fringe. But I am in love with than Lanvin tote (I’ll have to keep dreaming), and the more realistic Camuto bucket bag.

I agree, some fringe items are a little too extreme for my taste… but a handbag is an excellent way to participate in the trend!

Of course I would choose the Lanvin tote. It’s almost like I do this to myself on purpose.

I love the bucket bag with the fringe – that’s probably the only way I’d be comfortable wearing it!! My sister has an amazing fringe bag and it’s just gorgeous!!! xo, Biana – BlovedBoston
