Rocking the Red Carpet

I haven’t done this series in a very long time but after tuning into Fashion Police last night, I felt the need to personally weigh in on the many looks of the Emmy’s.  I had mixed feelings about the majority of the dresses but the one that stood out to me the most was Allison Williams in this exquisite Giambattista Valli gown.  She looks so fresh and young yet sophisticated and elegant at the same time.  Everything from her simple hair style to her minimal make-up says effortless chic.  Lizzy Caplan was another head turner is this dramatic black and white Donna Karan dress.  The neckline and the back are incredibly feminine and flattering.  Julia Louis-Drefus rarely makes a fashion mistake and this classic and understated Carolina Herrera gown is no exception.  I love the fact that she clearly knows what works for her and she usually sticks to that formula.  The color and shape of Kerry Washington’s dress is superb. (And doesn’t she look amazing?  Didn’t she just have a baby??)  January Jones always keeps us on our toes.  She is a fashion risk taker and is fearless on the red carpet.  I love this high low hem and the black detailing on her Prabal Gurung gown.  Michelle Monaghan nailed it in this clean and contemporary white dress.  I love how she accessorized this look with a burgundy clutch and a retro hair style.  And lastly, Heidi Klum looks like a Grecian goddess in this ethereal ensemble from Zac Posen.  I’m curious to know…what were your favorite looks from the other evening?  Did I leave someone out?
