Six Beauty Products I’m Currently Loving

Facial Wash// c/o Serum// Tinted Moisturizer// Concealer// Night Cream// Deodorant

Good morning and happy Monday!  I hope you had a relaxing weekend, especially all you moms who definitely deserve it!  I ventured up to Boston for a quick trip with my mom and daughter.  My daughter was attending a retreat south of the city on Saturday night so my mom and  I booked a room at the Sheraton (which was the perfect location in case you’re planning a trip to Boston).  We were two blocks from Newbury Street which is one of my favorite neighborhoods.  It’s dotted with a plethora of charming shops and restaurants and it is especially pretty this time of year now that everything is in full bloom.  I only wish the weather was warmer and that the sun would’ve made an appearance.  We made the best of it, however, and enjoyed a delicious dinner at Sonsie on Saturday night, attended Sunday morning mass at Saint Cecilia Church (which is absolutely beautiful), and then breakfast at the hotel before picking up my daughter.  My husband and I lived and worked in Boston for a couple of years when we first graduated from college so Boston will always hold a special place in our hearts!

Moving on, I wanted to share these six beauty products that I’m currently loving!  I’ve been having a good skin run (fingers crossed) and I while I do believe it’s primarily due to what I’m eating (I’ll get into that later this week), I also must credit certain products I’ve been using lately.  I’m a big proponent of switching up your skin and hair routine because I’ve found that when I use the same products over a long period of time, they aren’t as effective as they were in the beginning.  Anyone else feel that way too?  Also, I’m super excited to share this crystal deodorant with you because it is a total game changer!  Once you switch, you won’t want to go back!  So, here’s my review of each:

  1. Simple Facial Wash:  This moisturizing facial wash is perfect for everyday.  It’s ideal for sensitive skin because it gently removes dirt and make-up without drying out your skin.  I also love the fact that it’s free of dyes, artificial perfumes, or harsh chemicals.  And for under $10, it’s a major steal!
  2. c/o StriVectin Anti-Wrinkle Serum:  StriVectin products are on the pricey side but let me tell you, they are worth every penny.  All their products are high quality and effective.  Plus, they smell great!  So, I was thrilled when they sent over this anti-wrinkle serum for me to try out.  Now that I’m in my forties (yikes), I definitely need to up my skin care routine and make sure I’m using an eye cream (love this one ) and a serum that will fight the appearance of stubborn lines and creases.  I apply this serum right after I wash my face morning and night and after just a couple of weeks, I’m already noticing a plumper, smoother complexion…yay!
  3. Tarte Tinted Moisturizer:  This is by far my favorite tinted moisturizer.  It’s the perfect balance of not too heavy and not too light.  In other words, it provides just the right amount of coverage without ever feeling cakey.  I’m also loving the fact that it has a built in SPF and that all Tarte products are free of parabens and harsh chemicals.  I apply this primer prior to using this moisturizer which is the best one out there!  Your make-up will stay intact all day long.  Did I mention it’s only $10??
  4. Tarte Concealer:  This is another Tarte favorite. I use this creamy concealer when I need additional coverage around my nose and under my eyes.  A little goes a long way so this tube will last for at least six months.  I carry it with me in my mini cosmetic bag for easy and quick on the go touch-ups.
  5. Beautycounter Rejuvenating Night Cream:  This stuff is the real deal.  Another anti-aging miracle product, the cream works wonders while you sleep.  It combats those pesky fine lines and wrinkles plus it firms up your skin for a youthful, glowing complexion when you wake up.  I use this maracuja oil in the morning and this cream at night and my skin has been really clear lately.
  6. Nourish Crystal Deodorant:  When we were in Hilton Head, I popped into the Nourish shop which sells all natural soaps, lotions, candles, bath and baby products.  I loaded up my basket with these candles, these shower steamers, these essential oil patches  and this crystal deodorant stone.  I was a bit dubious about the effectiveness of this stone because I haven’t had 100% luck with natural deodorants.  But, all I have to say is, this stuff works!!! Simply apply it to damp skin right out of the shower and it will last all day!  I promise, you will not smell at all!  I will never use another deodorant after trying this.  This deodorant is amazing!
