Stripes and Leopard
Striped Top: French Connection (similar)// Black Jeans: J.Crew// Nude Pumps: Sam Edelman// Green Clutch: French Connection// Sunglasses: BCBG Max Azria// Leopard Belt: Target
It took me a while (last discussed here) but I’ve finally come around to mixing prints. The more variations I see, the more I’m convinced that this trend is here to stay (at least for this season). One of the most common and classic combos is stripes and leopard. They just seem to fit…kind of like peanut butter and jelly. They play off one another effortlessly and instantly give any ensemble that certain zsa zsa zsu. Now that we’re in transition mode, I’m enjoying the idea of retiring several pieces until next spring while resurrecting other items and reworking them to adapt to this crazy New York weather. I typically wear these black toothpick jeans with boots and a chunky sweater but given their cropped length (and the fact that it’s hot and humid), I thought they would be perfect with a heel, a fun tee and a bright clutch. Is it still steamy in your neck of the woods? What transitional looks are you channeling these days?

This is a great way to get your feet wet when it comes to pattern/print mixing. I love stripes and animal print together and your bright clutch adds that little oomph to this cute look! 🙂

Love this look…especially the puffed sleeves on that striped tee! Another fave combo of mine is leopard + polka dots!

Two of my favorite patterns, stripes and leopard. They look great paired together.
I am still trying to wear as many dresses as I can while it is still slightly warmer, but I have been doing much more layering with jackets and sweaters.
