I cannot tell you how relived I am that it’s Friday!  This week was a tough one between feeling under the weather, juggling the kids’ homework and extracurriculars and my husband being particularly busy with work…I definitely had to dust off my “Super Mom” cape and hold it all together (caffeine in the morning and wine at night certainly helps fyi).  Hopefully, I’ll be on the mend this weekend, catch up on sleep, and possibly squeeze in a date night…anyone know a good sitter?

Moving on, I wanted to share some more highlights from NYFW.  As I said last week, the Sachin and Babi presentation was my favorite collection but I was also incredibly  impressed with the Jasmine Chong runway show.  It was held in an intimate setting down in the West Village which was conveniently located around the corner from the cutest Italian restaurant ,Barbuto. Vanessa and I enjoyed a pre-show glass of wine and headed back there afterwards for coffee and dessert.

Another fun night was the Irina Shabayeva show which was held at the Monarch rooftop.  Although it was positively freezing that evening, the venue with it’s sweeping views of midtown Manhattan was well worth the trek into the city .  The models made their way through the crowd in dramatic lace dresses, bright red capes, and sophisticated faux fur jackets.

And lastly, I loved the Amber Poitier presentation which was inspired my Africa’s Ivory Coast…lots of bold statement jewelry made of leather and wood.  We headed over to Seven Bistro afterwards for burrata and wine and then ran over to AMCONYC which supports up and coming designers such as Kur Collection and Kreyol.  It was quite the scene…another cool venue with amazing views and we even spotted Miss New York (she’s really pretty in person).

You can read more about my NYFW adventures over on the Splender blog.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
